How To Properly Use Priceline

With so much information on the internet, it is sometimes hard to see the obvious.  How many times have you seen William Shatner negotiate a better price for some airlines tickets through Priceline.com?  Hundreds probably if you watch cable enough.  Yet, some may feel that the prices reflected on Priceline.com are the same as they are every where else.  Not true!  How to Use Priceline is just as important as shopping the right way.

You see, if you shop for airline tickets on Priceline.com and then go to Expedia, you will assume that because they both have comparable pricing, that you go with the one that doesn’t charge booking fees, right?  Expedia charges a booking fee, Priceline does not.  So it would be obvious that those $480 dollar tickets are only $5 to $10 in price differences.  But that is truely not the case.

no one deals like we do!

How to Use Options on Priceline

You see, when you look up airfares and enter your destinations and airline choices, and anything else pertinent to your trip; you usually wait for the computer to spit out a price for everything.  What you don’t know is that when you get those results, Priceline.com has a nice generic little banner on the upper left hand side that says "Save up to 40%".  Now we know what the airline tickets are selling for, and you may think that is the best price, but, instead, click on that 40% of banner and you will see a new screen come up on Priceline that allows you to enter "Your Price."

How to Get Your Price

Go ahead and enter your price.  The price you are willing to pay for this trip, if you feel that this is what you can afford to pay or what the trip is worth to you. Then, hit submit.  After a few seconds you will know if you got your price or not.  Sometimes you may have to wait a few days or a price to return, but it is worth every penny!  I recently saw airlines tickets for $489 with all fees included, and really felt the trip was worth no more than $298 so I keyed in a price of $250 for round trip tickets, and presto, Priceline.com came back with a price of $298 with all fees included.  Automatically I saved $191 dollars off of my trip.  Was it worth learning how to use Priceline.com?  Can you use an extra $191?  Good offers are priceless!

How to Use Priceline.com

Learn how to use Priceline correctly and you will save so much money on your trips.  Sure, you will have to make certain exceptions on the request like you can only put in evening or morning departure etc but who cares, you are getting nice tickets for so much less in price.

If you travel abroad at all, this is a heck of a way to save thousands on your trip!  If everything we did in life came with easy to ready, how to use instructions it would be great, but unfortunately, this is one of those things that, even though they have been around and we see commercials everywhere, we wished the commercials would be more like

"This is How to Use Priceline" instead of this is "William Shatner negotiating for you!"
