The End of Search Engine Optimizers

Search Engine Optimization in some ways has become the new mortgage industry.  People everywhere are experiencing a marketing push by so called "SEO" experts to provide them a top search engine placement in Google: "guaranteed."

Now with the release of DIYSEO by Text-Link-Ads founder Patrick Gavin, it will finally be the end of the oily SEO salesperson. That is, if you haven’t already shelled out a lot of money for "guaranteed" SEO?

Seriously now, how many of you paid somebody $75 a month per keyword or $750 or more per keyword to get your website "to the top spot on Google search results?"  It’s okay, raise your hands, we won’t judge. Well, maybe a little.  But don’t worry anymore because DIYSEO For The Rest of Us is a long needed program to help you end the crazy tide of phone calls being pushed onto so many a small business, by would be "SEO" experts.

The bottom line with SEO

The bottom line with SEO is that it takes Content, Related Inbound Links from similar Websites to your Website; Internal Site Links linking your Home Page to your Page Categories and your Page Categories to your Page Sections, and your Page Sections to your Individual Pages.  So when the search engine "crawlers" reach your website, they find everything by going from link to link until they crawl your whole site. Beyond that, you just need to make sure that if you have 1,000 pages on your site; that the search engines index all 1,000 of your pages (unless you don’t want them to).  That, along with the good inbound and outbound links discussed just now should give you good resulting PageRank from those efforts.  This, and your good content is all you need to rank well on search results.  Well, maybe I over generalized a bit; but, any reliable SEO Tool can help you accomplish this: fast.

But DIYSEO takes this a step further by allowing you to simply follow it’s lead and do as it says, by:

  • inputting where you need to
  • do as you are guided
  • act as instructed

Do these things and SEO for your website or small business will be breeze if not, fun!  Whoa, did I say "fun."  Yes, fun.  Having a website for your business, can be fun, and profitable. Especially if you are optimizing for Local Search.

Thank you Patrick for releasing DIYSEO for the rest.  The community of small business owners and future entrepreneurs -Thanks You!

And… so long to the SEO telemarketers pitching "I can get you to the top of the…blah blah blah"

Use Your Digital Army – Part 1

Small Business Tools

There is nothing more expensive to a small business owner than his labor component.  That is why many times you find yourselves doing a lot of the work of what would be a very good assistant or clerical help in general.  If you do the math, even with minimum wages, even the most giving of small business owners cannot hire the necessary help for those tasks without paying out at least $18,000 a year after you include payroll and related taxes.

Much of what you find on a store shelf for email and contact management does little to help when the need requires precision.  Many small business owners have ventured into retail stores to buy an email solution only to find it very “manual” despite its claims of automation and autonomy.  The same thing goes for those credit card processing machines that require manual entry of every sale made.

But if you as a small business owner just focus in for a minute on a email/subscription solution; you will find that a PayPal and AWeber combination will completely fulfill your marketing and email objectives and automate your sales in the process.

Despite the familiarity with PayPal and its billing capability, it surprises many to find out that besides shopping carts and Buy Now buttons, PayPal also has a recurring subscription tool that lets you setup subscription buttons that you can easily incorporate into your email campaigns.

These buttons are not like the Buy Now and Shopping Cart functions usually associated with PayPal products.  They are subscription buttons that allow you to choose many options including the giving of a free trial period before billing starts and allows you to determine the length of time for the subscriptions.

Now incorporate this feature with Aweber’s autorespond and auto email capability and what you have is the ability to send out emails regularly to your clients, prospects, or customers knowing full well that you are not just doing gratuitist mailings that have no way of monetizing your efforts.  Many a small business owner has burned out trying the “newsletter” method of marketing because what they find is that they have put a lot of effort in creating the content for the newsletter, the expenses of printing and layout, and of course postage and mailing (plus labor if you had to get someone to do it).

You can make money from PayPal

There are a lot of people out there that have either worked for or are in the industry of selling credit processing equipment and services. Ask any small business owner and they will tell you that they probably receive anywhere from 1 to 4 visits per week by different sales representatives trying to sell them the service or trying to get them to switch. And why not, the commissions can be around $1,000 to $3,000 depending on just how much you buy.

Ironically, there is a way that actually makes sense for the would be salesperson and the merchant to benefit from each other. While most of us have realized just how credit card machines work and don’t think twice about it at the counter, there is yet another way to pay that we may not have considered as an option before: reintroducing PayPal.
PayPal started as a small and innovative company that could help put a digital level of integrity in online transactions. Then, they were bought. Since that time they have made it possible to buy and sell and collect monies online for payments from outlets like eBay, Amazon, and the vast amount of websites and service companies that charge for their products or services online. This of course does not include the infinite number of small businesses that are using the service for their online transactions too.
Despite the obvious though, not too many people are aware that the same convenience that is laid out for them online, can also be accomplished offline by the brick and mortars. These same brick and mortars could have their regular walk in customers pay for their purchases with PayPal. However, most of them are simply not aware of the option or think its only for online businesses. Because of that, PayPal has created a referral program where you can help them sign up merchants; and if they commit, you can receive up to .5% of that merchant’s charges, up to a maximum of $1,000.
PayPal make money.
When you consider that you could walk into almost any small business today, and although they already accept Visa, MasterCard, and maybe Amex and Discover; most of them are not aware that they could also accept payments with PayPal. Flower shops, bakeries, day care centers, hair salons, and every other type of small business you can imagine could benefit by signing up for a PayPal Merchant Account
Now, you can introduce them to PayPal (sign up is free to them) and make up to $1,000 over the course of their business. You’d be surprised just how quickly you can add another $1,000 to $3,000 a month to your part-time income.
Even though there are some restrictions and the need to read over all the terms and conditions, the program is a wonderful opportunity; especially if you work from home.
There are a few stealthy people out there doing it already, and they aren’t running out of prospects any time soon.
