Survival Kits

Do you have time to do everything else, but rarely think about survival gear in case of an emergency?  That seems to be the case with emergency survival kits.  Everyone should have an emergency survival kit.  We see the news all the time about how this happened and that happened and remember to carry jumper cables in the car, but forget that not all emergencies happen on the road. We remember to take the cell phone and wallet, but we always forget that those things seldom matter when it really counts.  What you need in those situations are true solutions like emergency survival kits.

Survival kits have been around since the dawn of things, but even though the technology has changed for some components of a survival kit, much still remains the same: the need!  I found this company on the web that manufactures survival kits.  They have this nice variety of small and large kits depending on the need.

You can have small survival kits for the car or buy a large survival kit for the home.  What was even nicer is that some of the products can be purchased in bulk so you can take care of the whole family or members of your club, team or co-workers.  Survival kits come in different varieties depending on your needs.  There are:

Survival kits carry the essential items you would need in an emergency like food and water.  But we are not talking about putting sandwich in a plastic bag here, no, they have special food packs that last for as long as 5 years in storage!  They even have special water packs that hold the water requirements you would need for a certain amount of time, etc.  I was very impressed with these emergency survival kits particularly because I notice that some survival kit manufacturers give you food and water rations that once opened, can not be rationed throughout the day and must be used immediately.

The survival kits offered by the safetykitstore.com actually has each portion separately sealed and proportioned to keep you at pace with your survival needs.

I know this is not about making money or marketing, but hey, what is the point of having money if you are not around to enjoy it right?!  Get some of these survival packs and be ready for whatever comes your way.

The Value In Links

Make Link Building a Priority

Most people think that creating a website is the most important part of any internet marketing venture.  It’s not.  It’s all about the links.

If you have been busting over a website and admiring just how good it looks; and went as far as launching it, only to find out that it’s nice but nobody is visiting it.  It may have more to do with the SEO and links to the site than the site itself.  That is, of course, unless you are a heavy user of Flash.  If you have lots of Flash on your site, it is likely that the search engines don’t even know you exist!  That is because search engine crawlers look for text above all else, to determine what your website is all about.  Flash and images are nice, but they fall way short.

Make Links A Part of Your Website Strategy

So, when you design your site make sure to make linking a priority. And no, this does not mean putting a bunch of links on the site to your favorite websites.  It means, going out and having relevant websites link to YOUR site.  Yes, you have to email, call or even blog about another website on your site if you want them to link to you.  Why? Because if they are a PR5 or PR4 or something and you are a PR0 or PR1 you will need them linking to your site if you ever wish to climb on the search engine results!

So a great optimal linking strategy to maintain is:

  • Have more inbound links to your site than outbound links
  • Link to and request links to your website from relevant content websites
  • Do not participate in link farms or anything that promises 1,000s of links
  • When requesting links, always go for anchor text links above all others

There is more information on this topic throughout Laberinto Social so look for the Articles on SEO and Linking for more information.

pay per lead (ppl)

ppl (pay per lead)

If you have a business and really need to generate leads for your business, the first thing you should do is hire a ( ppl ) pay per lead company.  No, not the kind on the internet that charges you a fee for sales lead generation, at say $35 for the sales lead but then also tells you that 3 other companies are going to receive the exact same sales lead.  The only thing that does is that it puts you into a price war with the prospect, and forces you to do everything at a price that makes it unrealistic to remain in business.  The kind of sales lead that you should be paying for is pay per lead, where you pay for every sales lead you receive, but that only you receive them.  Don’t confuse a regular sales lead, with ppl (pay per lead).  And here’s why:

  • Pay Per Leads don’t cost You anything (if they don’t produce leads, you don’t pay)
  • Pay Per Lead allows you to shut it off whenever you want (no recurring fees on overflow)
  • Pay Per Lead makes the provider work harder since they are only paid when they produce

Other Sales Lead Services

The other types of sales leads tie you down to a set requirement that you need to order.  These leads work like pay per click advertising.  They are only paid for if the lead generation service actually produces a lead first. Unfortunately, when most people go into business regardless of whether it’s mortgage or selling insurance, they want to get their leads by a lead generation companies that sells sales leads on the internet; or, they decide that they are going to setup their own lead generators.  Big mistake!  Primarily because most of the people that do setup a website, have actually setup nothing more than a simple "web brochure."  Why?  Because they don’t really know how to generate leads.  All they have done, is create a website that looks nice and it is done in their image of what they think makes them look good.  But as P.T. Barnum said, "Without promotion, something terrible happens: NOTHING!" If you know something about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) or Website Marketing, then you may not have a problem.  But if you don’t, then don’t assume that building a website is going to bring you leads generation.  It’s not.  Not without the right tools.  Short of having the right tools, it is best to hire someone that will work for you on a ppl basis. These are very unique individuals that provide sales leads to you at a cost per lead. The misconception of ppl is that the provider will send you crappy leads just to make a buck.  That is not so, in fact, you can ensure that this doesn’t happen by making your agreement "terminable with 30 days notice."  This allows you to shut off the lead generation service if the sales leads are bogus.  Additionally, if you are dealing with a good lead provider, the provider will give you a few leads free or 30 days free with a small retainer (usually $99 or less). Ppl can make your business profitable very quickly.  But before you hire someone, here is the most important question:

What is the Value of a Sales lead?

What is a client/customer worth to you? Seriously. What is a sales lead worth to you?  Think about that before you do anything else.  Don’t just take a ppl price the provider quotes you.  You have to give them a number first. Why? Because if you don’t know what your customer is worth to you, then how will you ever know what the true value of the lead you paid for is worth?  So, if you are a carpenter, and the sales lead provider charges you a ppl price of $25 of people looking for a carpenter; what is that sales lead worth to you?  Still don’t know?  This is how you determine the ppl value of the sales lead: – How well can you close the sales prospect to get the business?

  • How competitive or how good are you at what you do in sales?
  • How much does it cost you now to generate a sales lead?
  • How much one time or repeat business can you receive?

Sales leads from referrals are great, but we all know they don’t come every day.  Sales leads on the other hand, is something we want to receive every day!

Now to Summarize a strategy for ppl, here is what you need to do:

1. Search Google for "ppl" or "pay per lead" – use the quotes as shown or use brackets [ppl] when you search google!
2. Give the lead generation service a call or submit your sales lead inquiry to them
3. Setup a meeting or phone conversation to discuss your sales lead needs
4. Discuss their capabilities and requirements, if any – don’t let them make you commit to a minimum.  If they’re good, there should be no minimum!
5. Give them your ppl Offer (remember we asked what is a sales lead worth to you, now answer that question)
6. If agreed on a price per lead, proceed.  – Get out of the way, do what you do best and let the lead generation service do their work!

What a good leads generator will then do, is usually build for you either a website or a landing page that will collect lead information from prospects.  Those prospects will then be sent to you either by email or maybe a special 800 number.  You want them to track the sales leads in this fashion so that you will know where they originate from (the special landing page or special 800 number).  Let the sales lead service do what they do best, and you do what you do best.

Ppl can take your business sky high and out of sales slumps very quickly, but you have to act! One of the best kept secrets of ppl is that the best lead generation services don’t require much money from you to start working.  Zero to close to NONE compared to other lead generation services.  Stop being a skeptic about lead generation and buying trice sold leads, and find yourself a good ppl generator!  Don’t assume that pay per click advertising is the only way to generate a sales lead.  Ppl is the only way to go for real world results.  Pay for Results not well wishing.
